30 Days of Brave- Day 2, April 26th 2017

Day 2 of 30 Days of Brave

Today’s brave act:

I will hold myself accountable to completing my 30-day goal by making the following commitment:

We are what we repeatedly do.

COMMITTED: feeling dedication and loyalty to a cause, activity, or job; wholeheartedly dedicated.

Making small micro acts of courage, each day is important to me because I know it takes discipline and repetition to truly transform. Some days will be harder than others, but I have the self-disciple to own that resistance and stay the course. This small win will perpetuate more small wins throughout the day making it easier to develop habits that empower brave living. I will step through fear, courageously into action.

Commitment means staying loyal to what you said you were going to do long after the mood you said it in has left you.

I am committing to one small thing I can do today that will help me stay committed to my larger 30-day goal.

(Goal: to be living a simpler, calmer life in and out of my home)

What will help me stay committed to this goal?

  1. following the routine I am creating to single-task
  2. saying NO when I need to
  3. being confident in my words, actions, and decisions
  4. not overcommitting to anything
  5. getting enough sleep and fresh air
  6. moving as much as I can
  7. enjoying a healthier diet
  8. enjoying each moment as it arrives
  9. acknowledging the past and not looking too far into the future
  10. living quietly, knowing when to speak up and when to stay silent

Staying committed to my 30-day goal is important to be because: I cannot live a healthier life if I am carrying the burden of excessive stress and anxiety on my shoulders. Once I begin living my life with the acknowledgment and pure acceptance of what I can and cannot change, my days and nights will be so much simpler. Removing the clutter and mess from my house means one step towards it truly becoming a home. Staying true to this challenge means I can really be a positive role model for my two children.

The consequences of excessive stress on my life are far too serious to ignore, so I am facing my life stressors head on, with a calm and positive mindset.

The future unfolds from the tip of intention.
